Balancing training and rest: avoiding overtraining

I’ve been there too. Early in my season, I thought skipping rest days would give me an edge, but I ended up with joint soreness and slower reaction times. Now I plan alternating heavy and light sessions, with at least one full rest day per week. I also follow this guide for structure: https://assamtribune.com/article/how-to-train-like-a-pro-cricketer-fitness-diet-and-drills-1587645. It really helped me see how to train smarter, not just harder, and keep energy levels consistent throughout the week.
