Talkie AI has a Teenager Mode that is designed to block sexually explicit content and block some features of the app. Nevertheless, these safeguards have been independently tested and parent reviewed to reveal that they are not always dependable. There is a risk that even the AI can generate borderline questions and connections to external websites such as Discord (which is barely moderated) can put young users at risk. Parental controls are therefore present but do not ensure total safety of the minors.
