What are the principal characteristics of a Cypress tree?

Cypress tree is evergreen narrow pyramidal shaped and dense conifers which are tall in nature. Their leaves tend to be scale-like and are developed in flattened sprays, which make the tree will appear soft and feathery. The species are mostly fragrant; the cones are very small and round. These trees are fast growing and come to great heights depending on their type. Cypress trees are also drought resistant when matured and can also suit various kinds of soil and are widely used in landscaping and privacy screening.
