Is it worth doing a MacBook repair on an M1/M2 model or just trade it in?

These strange vertical lines appear on my screen and I am out of AppleCare. I really need a professional macbook repair but I'm worried about the cost and my data privacy. I have been researching on devicefixes because they do not require my login password in order to do the fix. Has anyone had any experience with them in their screen issues or logic board issues? I would prefer to fix it instead of spending 2k on another machine.
