Arcade1Up vs. full-sized original cabinets?

I'm trying to decide between getting a new Arcade1Up cabinet (the smaller, 3/4 scale ones) or saving up for a full-sized original or reproduction cabinet. The Arcade1Up is much cheaper and easier to find, but I'm worried it won't feel the same. Is the experience really that different? Is the full-size worth the extra money and space?
