Question Board

An element where users can post questions that can be approved or removed by admins. Often used during panel settings in place of or in addition to the left-hand chat bar.

The Question Board element allows ohyay users to post questions as well as to update and downvote existing questions.

The question board provides properties that control how the question board can be used and what moderation controls are in place.

Allow anonymous questions

When enabled, the question board will display an option to post anonymously, which looks like this:

Allow down voting

Enables/disables down votes on questions. Removing the potential for negative feedback via down votes can be a mechanism to encourage participants to ask questions during an event.

Require approval of questions

When enabled, a workspace administrator must "approve" questions before they are displayed to all users on the question board. The administrator will see each question and be presented with a button to approve.

Sort by votes/most recent questions

You can sort question boards by votes or by most recent questions and download the contents of a question board as a CSV.

Link question boards across a workspace

To link question boards across different ohyay rooms, simply enter the same channel name (in the question board Advanced Properties panel) to the question boards that you want to link together.

Mark questions as answered

You can mark questions in Question Boards as Answered by hovering over a question and clicking Answered. To show all answered questions, hover over the question board element and click show answered questions.
